Just wanted to let you know that I'm very excited that our "Frogs" episode from the Down at the Tool Shed DVD has now been included in the programing provided for sick and injured kids at the Miami Children's Hospital. What could be better than knowing you have a part in helping children heal? That's what it's all about!!!

My apologies for being away so long. I took a little break from my music but now I'm back, however....now I'm in need of your HELP! Please write back to me at: aweiler@uplink.net with some possible topics about which you'd like me to write a song. I'd also like you to put the show I've scheduled this summer at the Muncy Library on your calendar. On that note, ...I guess I'd better get songwriting and practicing! I hope this LONG snowy winter finds you we'll....and that you'll be in touch with your song ideas too! I hope to see you at a musical event soon!

Well, now you can preview my DVD & Educator's Guide FREE!!! Be sure to go over and click on the TOOL SHED as there is now a DVD preview link! You can also watch clips from each of the 3 episodes on the DVD! Just go to the "DVD highlights" section and click on which episode you wish to preview! Helloooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

School is out for the summer and hopefully I'll be able to get focused again on my music! No real exciting news to share except that I did get into the studio and did some recording recently. Thanks to the great work of Scott Francis at Mind's Eye Music (Williamsport, Pa) and my producer - Johnny Blair, we put together another song and have plans for a few others. So.......stay tuned for more info on new stuff from Allie!!!

Sorry!.....I've been away much too long! Lots has happened since my last entry!!......had a fantastic show in February at the Community Arts Center right here in Downtown Williamsport, PA. Tasha the Tool Girl and I performed just prior to the Magic Tree House show. What a thrill!

I just did a day of presenting to CSAEYC - Central Susquehanna Association of Early Educators right around the corner at Penn College last weekend! It was great getting to pass along the TIPS, TOOLS and TUNES kids need to SUCCEED with the hope that the educators who attended would take back skills to help them in their child-centered places of work! Thanks to all of you who participated in my session! I hope you had as much fun as I did and that you learned lots!! Please keep in touch and let me know what TIPS, TOOLS and TUNES are working with your kids or if you need others!

Mark your calendar because I have FREE family show on the 1st of May at Gustonian Gifts in Downtown Williamsport, PA. Showtime will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Pack up the kids and come on out! I'll be giving a $5.00 discount on DVD purchases too! Yipee!! It's also a WEBKINZ extravaganza that night so you won't want to miss it!!!!

Thankful this Christmas

As I sit and reflect on this Christmas morning, I feel so thankful for all of the musical support I've received from so many of you through the years! Thanks so much for coming out to my shows, for purchasing and vendoring my music, etc. I am hopeful that 2009 will provide us with many more opportunities at which to sing, dance, laugh and just have FUN! Special thanks to everyone for coming out on Saturday to sing, dance and just have fun at the West Branch School. We sang songs to help us be on our best behavior for Santa, we danced, we laughed and just had a blast. Special thanks goes out to mini Tasha the Tool Girl (a.k.a. Lily!) for all of her help! Just a reminder!.....don't forget to get your tickets to: the Magic Tree House show at the Community Arts Center (Williamsport, PA) on Feb. 13 '09. Tasha the Tool Girl and I will be performing prior to the show upstairs in the Patron's Lounge. Our show time goes from 6:20 - 6:50 p.m. We will also have another quick show over intermission! Oh........and don't forget to wear your TOOL BELT!!!!!

Rock'in on the dock in Canada!!

Hey All!
Lots has happened since I last checked in! My gig in Catawissa was excellent....thanks to Zeter and Kirstin the Tool Girls who filled in for Tasha! We packed the stage with kids (some little - some big!) and just had a blast! Last week I was on vacation in one of my favorite places in the world.......Canada! I had a week of some wonderful relaxation and family fun! One of the highlights was the concert that Tasha the Tool Girl and Miss Allie performed on the dock one sunny afternoon down by the lake. What a "rock the dock" hoot! Our Canadian and American friends gathered for the event! We sang, laughed, cried and just shared some special moments which I will NEVER forget! So....I guess you can say that it's official.......DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED has gone INTERNATIONAL!!! Special thanks goes out to my Canadian fans way up north (Hi Brett!) who are spreading the Tool Shed word far and wide!!!! News continues to get around down here in the States as well. So.....another big thanks to all of you out there who are staying in the game to support the cause!! Drop me a note if you can!..........Allie :)

Long time no write! Sorry I've been away soooooooooo long! I'm still hopping though.....I've made a few BIG BRAVE HOPS lately regarding the TOOL SHED DVD. Not sure where they will lead me but it's been exciting! I've had lots of performances since I last wrote. (Check out Allie at the CLC at Penn College (left) giving Frank the Frog a "brave" pep talk during our show!!) I'm gearing up for another show on Friday August 1st, at Gustonian Gifts on 3rd Street in Williamsport! The fun will start at 6:00 and go until 8:00 p.m. Tasha the Tool Girl just might make it to sign some tool belts, or hard hats or whatever you want signed! So kids.....tell you parents that you want to come out and see the show! It should be lots of fun. I'm also playing a family show in Catawissa, PA Tuesday Aug. 5th at 6:00. Again, try to come out and join me!!!! Check below for where you can purchase the DVD, Educator's Guide & tool belt!! You'd best get HOPP'IN so you don't miss out!! Hope to see you soon!!!

Busy.....singing and making music!!

Well......I'm filling my days this summer with lots of musical adventures. Today I visited Penn College's Children's Learning Center! The kids and I had blast gathering the tips, tools and tunes we need to SUCCEED!!! (check out the press release to the right !) We sang about everything from being good listeners to learning to be brave like FROGS - It was great fun! Tomorrow I'm off to Lewisburg to entertain the children at the Sunflower Daycare. One of the lucky students there will win a copy of my new Tool Shed DVD along w/ one MEGA-COOL tie-dyed tool belt! - (I spent the afternoon watching tool belts come to life today.........full of magnificent tie-dye colors!!!!!) Anyway....stay tuned to this blog as we are going to keep filling it full of information about Allie's schedule of upcoming performances and lots of other fun things!

Wow!!........

It's been a whirlwind since my first DVD entitled DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED (copyright 2008) came out this April! As a matter-0-fact, I literally crawled into a hole once all 1060 copies arrived on my doorstep! I was flat-out pooped!!! So many months of decision-making and deadlines.....UGH!..... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!................you just can't imagine. At some point I will highlight the "whirlwind" in more detail - for anyone who really cares to read about it. To me, truly, it's been like "catching one BIG dream"............o.k., I know it might seem Corny....I mean, this is kids stuff but........it was lights, camera action........FOR REAL! So.....kid's stuff or not, it was hard work! It's been so cool to actually see the pieces of this project all come together! To hold a dream in my hand (the DVD) and actually watch it on TV!!! There were so many key players involved in helping me pull this one off! Everyone from family and friends to Penn College of Technology's staff & students to wonderful community supporters........ .....another WOW and another BIG THANKS to everyone out there who helped me!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you too will eventually understand why I'm so proud of the finished product - DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED - my first children's DVD!!! WA-HOO!!!.......we finally did it!!!!

6/23/08 -Took another "brave hop" today (used some of Tasha the Tool Girl & Freadie the Frog's advice!) and met with someone very important to public TV! Hm.............not letting the cat out of the bag yet.....but I'll just say this...........I'm going to continue hopping until someone out there helps me reach a larger audience! Yes.......the TV audience! Watch out Wiggles......here comes Miss Allie and Tasha the Tool Girl! More later!!!
